BLUE MIRACLE, EARLY BIRD DEADLINES & A HUGE EAST CAPE OFFSHORE!

Happy June to all of you,

We have a few fun things to share with you.

First, this past Thursday, we had an absolutely awesome movie premier event for “Blue Miracle” at the historic Granada Theater in Dallas, TX.

Not only did we have a great evening of cocktails, popcorn and movie watching with tons of friends and family, the evening also had an impromptu fundraising element for Cabo’s Casa Hogar Orphanage. By the time it was over, an incredible $128,638.00 had been raised! We can’t thank Elite Financial Management enough for helping us make all of this happen.

 

We had not planned this event to be a fundraiser, but just before we began, the Petersen family from Cabo who are staunch Casa Hogar supporters offered to match any other donations up to $100K, and that’s all that needed to be said. Our great crowd generously donated $64,319.00 which was then doubled by the match. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the night and jumped in to help Casa Hogar!

If you haven’t seen Blue Miracle yet, be sure to log onto Netflix and do so. I’ll give you a pre-heads up that there is a WHOLE LOT of Hollywood license in the story line but it is a nice, feel good experience for the whole family that is based on the incredible true story of what happened in the 2014 Black & Blue Tournament.

2021 Tournament Schedule

East Cape Offshore

  • August 3 - 7, 2021

Los Cabos Offshore

  • October 14 - 17, 2021

Black & Blue

  • October 19 - 23, 2021

Now to the always important tournament info, the first of our 2021 tournaments is the East Cape Offshore and it’s coming up fast on August 3-7. We will once again be hosting it at the Buena Vista Beach Resort. Several first time teams have already entered meaning this event is sure grow and once again will fly past the $1 Million mark in prizes!

As for our October tournaments, the dates are October 14-17 for the Los Cabos Offshore Tournament and Oct. 19-23 for the Black & Blue Marlin Tournament.

Early Bird Drawing

There is still time to get into our Early Bird drawing for all 3 of our events, where for each month before August 1 you enter, you get an additional chip in the drawing to get your base entry fee back and fish for free!

Before I say goodbye, I’d like to reach out one more time to any of you who may have tournament photos from the first 15 years of the Black & Blue. As you can imagine these are very important for creating a book about the 40 year history of the Black & Blue tournament.
