JULY 28, 2008
Hello to everyone,
I have another fun announcement to make for this year's Black & Blue, but first I wanted to remind everyone that the Bisbee's East Cape Offshore Tournament starts July 29th at the Hotel Buena Vista Beach Resort. We'll be posting photos and results on our website, www.bisbees.com.

The East Cape event is also the kick-off to our Bluewater C.U.P. Series, so we'll be updating that site as well with this year's teams and standings.
Now for the fun stuff. We've added a new division to the Black & Blue—the Bisbee's International Angling Club Championship (IACC). This division was created to celebrate the growing number of international teams that attend the Black & Blue. And to be sure it got off to right start, we recuited Jim Brown, formerly of the International Game Fish Association (IGFA), as Coordinator.
There are no entry fees for the IACC this year, but you will need to register your Club and team members. Click on the following link to download the registration form. IACC Registration Form. To learn more please read the entire press release below.
That's it for now. See you in East Cape!

R. Wayne Bisbee, Director
International Angling Club Champions to be Crowned at 2008 B&B
CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO, July 18, 2008—Tournament Promotions, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of the International Angling Club Championship (IACC) to the Bisbee’s Black & Blue Marlin Tournament which takes place October 21-25, 2008 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Teams from around the world are being invited to represent their angling club and country in this new competition for the chance of becoming the International Angling Club Champions of the year and for winning prizes valued at over $20,000.00.
“The Black & Blue already has many international anglers and we appreciate the extra effort they put forth to be part of our tournament. We decided we wanted to both celebrate this participation and help promote Angling Clubs from around the world by creating a special division just for these teams.” said tournament director Wayne Bisbee.
The IACC is essentially a tournament within a tournament. Once entered in the base level of the Black & Blue any team with a majority of registered anglers from a country outside of Canada, Mexico and the United States is eligible to register for the IACC. There is no additional entry fee for the IACC this year. And Canada, Mexico and the United States are not being left out—the top team from each of these countries from the previous year’s Black & Blue will also be invited to participate.
In addition to becoming the International Angling Club Champions of the year, the winner of the IACC will also receive the fishing trip of a lifetime—three days of fishing for five people in the Cape Verde Islands onboard the famous mothership/gameboat fishing operation “Madam and the Wild Hooker”, a package valued at over $20,000.00.
“The Bisbee’s Black & Blue is already attracting increased levels of international attention and participation. This new division was created to recognize the importance of Angling and Fishing Clubs worldwide and their work in promoting fishing and ethical angling in their respective areas” said IACC Division Coordinator, Jim Brown, previously of the International Game Fish Association (IGFA).
Presently the International Angling Club Championship has teams registered from Australia, Brazil, Costa Rica, England, Finland, Guatemala, Italy, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Tahiti.
