This is a fun newsletter for me because I get to tell you about a new Bisbee's venture. We've teamed up with UjENA, one of the  world's leading swimwear manufacturers, to produce the Bisbee's Offshore UjENA Jam Tournament which will take place in Puerto Vallarta August 27-29, 2008.
And here's the twist—the tournament takes place in conjunction with the biggest swimwear model competition in the world, the famous UjENA Jam. UjENA will also be presenting a “Mini UjENA Jam” for the first time in Cabo San Lucas at the Bisbee’s Black & Blue this year.

Bisbee’s Teams Up with UjENA Swimwear
for a Puerto Vallarta Offshore Tournament…
With a Fun-Filled Twist Like No Other!
June 20, 2008—Bisbee’s, the producers of the world’s richest fishing tournaments, has teamed up with the UjENA swimwear manufacturers to present the new Bisbee's Offshore UjENA Jam Tournament that will take place on August 27th to 29th in beautiful Puerto Vallarta. This “Offshore Jam” is a conservation minded, all-release for billfish tournament with additional categories for dorado and tuna. It will take place in conjunction with the biggest swimwear model competition in the world, the famous UjENA Jam.
The Puerto Vallarta UjENA Jam is a week long event where hundreds of models, photographers and partner companies come together each year to take great photos, cast, network  and participate in exciting events. In 2007 a UjENA Big Game Fishing Tournament was added to the UjENA Jam’s full week of fun, and it was quite the success, where the biggest fish caught was a 400-pound black marlin.
Even though the actual Offshore Jam portion of the overall UjENA Jam is only three days (registration on Aug. 27th with fishing on Aug. 28th and 29th), teams are encouraged to plan to stay and enjoy the whole week of fun-filled events that include various nightly theme parties, the amazing UjENA Costume Party (be sure to bring a costume), a golf tournament, UjENA Jam Acrobatics which is a fun event to watch, and even a 5k run/walk (for the seriously hearty).
Further, each team has the option to have a world-class photo team on board. The model-photographer team will be taking photos of UjENA bikinis and also of all the fishing action. The photo team that takes the best images will win an Image Award and $1000 Jam scholarship each. The best images are also given to the anglers for their own use. Professional, and casual anglers alike are welcome to enter and get onboard with the hottest swimwear models in the world!
With all the intensity and pressures that go along with the $4 million in prizes at the legendary Bisbee’s Black & Blue Marlin Tournament held in Cabo San Lucas every October, the Offshore Jam was designed as the perfect way for teams to warm up for October in a fully relaxed, fun-emphasized environment, while still providing a platform for teams to hone their skills and enjoy the excellent summer fishing that PV is renowned for.
"We are very glad to be working with the Bisbee Organization this year. The fish in Puerto Vallarta are big, the UjENA models are hot, and the parties are a blast," stated UjENA Jam founder and director Bob Anderson.
 The entry fee for the Offshore Jam is a mere $2,500. per four person team, and the cash prizes are equally modest at $20,000.00 (based on 20 teams), plus a ton of great things from Pelagic High Performance Offshore Gear. “The emphasis here is not on giant purses like the Bisbee’s has become famous for, it is a real tournament, but we’re concentrating on flat out fun-fun-fun” said Wayne Bisbee, the tournament’s Director.
Anglers and their guests are encouraged to stay at the official UjENA Jam hotel with the models and photographers. The cost is $795 (based on double occupancy) for five nights starting August 27, 2008. This price includes all food and drink at the hotel, transfer from the PV airport, all taxes and the VIP Jam Event Pass. Single room upgrade is $229. If you do not stay at the official hotel the UjENA VIP event pass is $400 and required for all anglers and their guests.
