September Update and Entry Deadline Reminder
Hello to everyone,
Tournament season is now upon us, and hopefully the hurricane season is behind us! For those of you wondering, Cabo came through the storms just fine, but those in the East Cape area weren't so lucky. We wish everyone who has interests there the very best as they deal with their damages.
We're making final preparations to receive many of you in October at the Los Cabos Offshore Tournament and, of course, the Bisbee's Black & Blue Tournament. As of now, pre-entry levels are ahead of last year on this date.
Both of these events are presented in part by Chris Snell and Snell Real Estate who exclusively represent the finest and most sought after properties in Los Cabos including Palmilla Properties, Oasis Palmilla, Villas Del Mar, Cabo Del Sol and Punta Ballena and also by Platinum Capital International, your first choice for real estate financing in Mexico.
In the interest of your personal safety and to streamline the registration process, we are doing everything possible to convince you to get in early. So, with both tournaments just around the corner, I want to remind those of you planning to join us that in order to avoid a 10% late charge your entry fees must get to us by October 1st. ANY ENTRIES RECEIVED AFTER OCTOBER 1ST ARE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL 10% INCLUDING OPTIONAL JACKPOTS.
We'll be taking checks in the US until October 10th. After the 10th you'll be able to register with cash (US Dollars only) on Registration day. For those of you arriving a day or two ahead of the Black & Blue—we'll have our office open early for "pre-registration" at our Host Facility, the Cabo Villas Beach Resort, a newly expanded, beautiful property complete with the brand new Baja Cantina Beach Club sitting right out front. To assist you in making Entry Category decisions we've uploaded a PDF copy of the 2005 Cash Award Distribution showing total number of entries and the cash awarded for each category and the Capella Pedregal Release Division. These levels are sure to be higher this year, so considered them a conservative guideline.
The introduction of the Worldwide Aviation $10,000 Daily means that a $1 million dollar daily purse is no longer out of reach. There are over a dozen already entered, and many more verbally committed!
The Pete Lopiccola Billfish Tournament will again run concurrently with the Los Cabos Offshore Tournament. You can conveniently register for both at the same time on October 20th at the Baja Cantina Dockside Restaurant. Over $1 million in funds have been raised in Pete's name during the past two decades, making it the largest charity recipient in Los Cabos history. All of the proceeds from your $200 per angler entry fee goes to the City of Hope for cancer and leukemia research.
The Bisbee's Los Cabos Open Golf Championship, is shaping up nicely, it will be played on the challenging Dye Course at the Raven Cabo San Lucas. You can pre-register by clicking on the web link above or register on-site during the Black & Blue's Registration.
