We hope all of you are doing great, and for those of you in the South East area of the US, we wish you the very best as you deal with weather activity problems form this past month!

As we enter the "clubhouse turn" for this year's Cabo events, we want to give you a brief update on some of the haps. First, our California office will be closed after the 1st of October. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY ENTRY MONEY TO OUR US OFFICE AFTER SEPTEMBER. It will not be received in time. If you wish to enter in October, please bring any entry money in cash to tournament registration in Cabo.

Next: our host resort for both Cabo events, the Melia San Lucas still has a few rooms available. They can contact them by calling (800) 33-MELIA. Be sure to say that you're with the "Bisbee Fishing Tournament" or "reservation code BFT" to get your special angler reservations package. They have an excellent discount for you. Here are the dates for your convenience when calling:

The Bisbee's Los Cabos Offshore Tournament AND the Lopiccola Billfish Tournament are October 15-17 will be held on the pool deck of the Melia San Lucas Resort including registration, the kick-off party and awards.

Black & Blue dates are October 19-23. All of the tournament functions for the Black & Blue (including registration and the kick-off party) will take place at the Puerto Paraiso Entertainment Plaza, where the awards banquet was last year.

All weigh station activities for both tournaments will be at the South West end of the Puerto Paraiso Entertainment Plaza, where at the same weigh station as last year.

Pete Lopiccola Tournament
We will be assisting this year's Lopiccola Tournament organizers by combining their event with our Los Cabos Tournament. This is because the organizers of the past several "For Pete's Sake Tournament" sent out a letter a couple of months back that announced their retirement, however, the tournament's original founders/developers were determined not to let a Captain Pete Lopiccola event disappear….after all, over $1 million in funds have been raised in Pete's name during the past two decades, making it the largest charity entity in Los Cabos history! All of the proceeds from your $200 entry go to cancer research, leukemia research and many local charities. So, this year, The Lopiccola Tournament will take place in conjunction with the Bisbee's Los Cabos Offshore Tournament and you'll have the chance to fish both at the same time. You can register for them at the Melia San Lucas on October 15th, at the same time as the Los Cabos. We all owe a million thanks (literally) to Gloria and Jim Davis, who were Pete's close friends. Way back they were the ones who decided to begin a tournament in Pete's name. They rallied many other long time Lopiccola friends and volunteers to this year's cause, collecting great prizes and auction items along the way, ensuring that Pete's legacy will continue!

Bisbee's Los Cabos Open GOLF Tournament:
The Annual Bisbee Golf Championship will take place at the DYE designed Raven Golf Club in Cabo San Lucas on Saturday, October 23. Held the morning of the Black & Blue's awards banquet, this year's GOLF tournament will continue to establish a foundation for a world-class golf event in future years.

The golf tournament is operated by Chuck Kinder, President of BEST4GOLF and the Publisher of the Golf Guide to Mexico and the Golf Guide to Los Cabos. In previous years, he hosted Southern California PGA tournaments as well as the Las America's golf tournament. The Bisbee 2004 Golf Championship tournament will have several very interesting divisions to encourage local participation, as well as international tourist and fisherman from the Bisbee Black and Blue.

The format is a one day TWO-MAN scramble event with a shotgun start at 11:00am on Saturday, October 23, 2004 Quality tee gifts and lots of prizes and awards are provided to all players. A challenge is being made to all hoteliers in Los Cabos to join with a TWO-MAN team to win the HOTEL division Trophy. A RESTAURANT division Trophy is up for grabs by chefs, managers and owners of local eateries. The best REAL ESTATE agent will be determined on the fairways. All participates will attend the award party for the Bisbee on Saturday night with dinner, cocktails, music and dancing.
